1. Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics jargon> ICE A contrived acronym for security software, coined by Usenetter Tom Maddox and popularised by William Gibsons cyberpunk SF novels. In Gibsons novels ICE software responds to intrusion by attempting to literally kill the intruder.
